Mr. Carroll got into fishing in the 70’s Giant Tuna fishing with his dad out of Green Harbor Massachusetts and went on to fish for bluefin with some of the best fisherman on the eastern seaboard. Mr. Carroll spent 10 years in the 80’s and 90’s commercial tuna fishing full time where he put himself through graduate school on fish money and eventually joined the commercial seafood industry in Boston. Today, Captain Mike Carroll not only runs charters but has many years’ experience as a fishery economist where he been employed by various large companies and now does consulting work and sits on the New England Fishery Management Council’s Scientific and Statistical Committee. Captain Mike has dedicated his entire career to the seafood and fishing industry, passionate about the New England Fishery resource and the many diverse user groups that rely on it.
